Nepal is the country of Hinduism majority. Among the several dozens of ethnic tribes Bardia belongs to the majority of Tharus, which is the fourth largest ethnic group in Nepal. According to story Tharus migrated from Thar desert of India, hence the name Tharus. .These people tend to live in the extended family with farming and fishing occupation. Their people- family with their farming and fishing occupation. They love having spicy and alcoholic food which is believed to protect them from the fatal risk of malaria and small pox. They presume living in harmony of nature. As they live surrounded by nature and wild life. they are self taught how to defend with wild life. it used to be the only for Tharus till 1954 but after malaria eradication you can find the variety of culture and life styles surrounding the BNP.
